What you can expect
Due to the retirement of the current Operations Manager, this vacancy is opened.
Are you the ‘People Manager’ we are looking for?
As Operational Manager, you maintain an overview of the daily business activities & manage a team of planners and maintenance engineers (9 FTEs in total). With a fleet of around 45 trucks, you have a varied range of tasks.
Duties:
- Managing a team of planners & drivers, administrative staff & maintenance engineers.
- Analysing existing work processes and ensuring continuous improvement of all flows to enhance efficiency, cost control, quality and competitiveness.
- Managing external partner for administrative handling.
- Assisting the planning team operationally.
- Communicating with customers on operational issues in day-to-day business.
- Replacing the Director in his/her absence.
- Conducting evaluation and assessment interviews and other HR tasks.
- Monitoring the set KPIs and ensuring timely adjustments.
What you bring
- A completed Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Logistics.
- At least 10 years' work experience in a similar role in the logistics sector.
- Social and practical attitude.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and good knowledge of English and German in word and writing.
- Knowledge/affinity with technology
